This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Puglia Uncovered collects, why and what rights you have. It applies to the website pugliauncovered.com.
1. Who we are (data controller)
The data controller is Antonio Marchese, operating the website Puglia Uncovered as a natural person. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@pugliauncovered.com.
2. What data we collect
a) Wedding venue-matching form. If you use our wedding enquiry form, we collect: your name, email address, wedding date or timeframe, approximate guest count, budget range, and style preferences, plus anything you add in free-text fields.
b) General contact. If you email us (e.g. hello@ or privacy@), we receive your email address and the content of your message.
c) Technical data. Like most websites, our server and hosting provider automatically process limited technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to deliver the site. See our Cookie Policy for cookies.
d) Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and your first name, if you give it) to send you the newsletter and the free itinerary. You confirm your subscription by email (double opt-in) and can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
We do not ask for special-category data, and the site is not intended for children under 16.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

4. Who we share your data with (recipients)
- Wedding venues, planners and suppliers in Puglia. When you submit the venue-matching form, we share the details you provide with a selected number of venues, planners and suppliers so they can contact you with proposals. We do this only to fulfil your request. You can ask which suppliers received your details at any time.
- Service providers (processors) acting on our behalf: our website hosting and email provider, and our form/CRM tooling. They process data only on our instructions.
- Google (Analytics). If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used. Google processes usage data (such as pages visited, device type and a shortened IP address) under its own terms. It loads only with your consent. See the Cookie Policy.
- Affiliate networks. We run the Travelpayouts and TradeTracker monetisation scripts across the site (both load only after you accept marketing cookies, see the Cookie Policy) to support affiliate links and measure referrals. When you click an affiliate link, that third party may set its own cookies and process data under its own privacy policy. We do not submit your form details to affiliate networks.
- GetYourGuide. On pages featuring tours and experiences we embed the GetYourGuide activities widget (GetYourGuide GmbH, Berlin, Germany), which loads only after you accept marketing cookies. GetYourGuide then processes data under its own privacy policy to display activities and attribute any bookings you make through our links (partner ID NK9PO3W). We do not share your venue-matching form details with GetYourGuide.
We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Our web fonts are self-hosted, so simply loading our pages does not transfer your data outside the EU/UK on that basis. However, some third parties you choose to interact with (affiliate booking partners, embedded booking widgets) may transfer data to countries including the United States, under their own safeguards. In addition, where you accept statistics cookies, Google Analytics may transfer usage data to Google in the United States under its own safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. How long we keep it
We keep wedding-enquiry data only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable follow-up period, 24 months, after which it is reviewed and deleted. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to manage the relationship.
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link in any email; after that your details are removed from the mailing list.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR (and UK GDPR) you have the right to: access your data, rectify it, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, request portability and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise any of these, email privacy@pugliauncovered.com; we respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it); in the UK, the ICO (ico.org.uk).
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above shows when. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be highlighted on this page.
