Sixteen Puglia wedding venues, one by one

We chose these sixteen for the kind of wedding each one does best. Nobody on this list pays to be here. They cover the resort coast at Savelletri, Ostuni and its countryside, Polignano and Monopoli, the Salento and two inland estates near Manduria and Mesagne.

Antica Masseria Martuccio

Mesagne (Brindisi)Up to 400 guestsBrindisi airport ~20 min

Martuccio, outside Mesagne, takes one wedding a day, and a booked date gives the couple the whole masseria, in any month of the year. It has five reception spaces, from the Winter Garden for 270 to the Corte Antica for 400, with the Sala Imperiale and the pine grove, crossed by a small stone bridge, taking 300 each. There are 28 rooms and suites for the couple and part of the guests, a kitchen with its own brigade, and symbolic or civil ceremonies indoors or out; for a church wedding, the parishes of the area are a few minutes away. For a large traditional reception twenty minutes from Brindisi airport, in any month, we would start here. The reserve and beaches of Torre Guaceto are about half an hour away.

Borgo Egnazia

Savelletri (Fasano)Up to ~500 guestsBrindisi airport ~40 min

Borgo Egnazia is a new-build village in local stone: 63 rooms, 93 townhouses and 28 villas, many of the villas with their own pool. For a wedding that means the guests sleep, eat and party inside the same walls, and it is why the resort has hosted Puglia’s best-known celebrations, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s in 2012 among them. There are eight restaurants, and Due Camini holds a Michelin star in the 2026 guide. It is built for a large wedding weekend where nobody needs a car. Couples looking for the feel of a family farm will find a resort first and a masseria second. Weddings are handled by the resort’s celebrations team, and prices are not published.

Masseria San Domenico

A white fortified farmhouse built around a courtyard, 500 metres from the Adriatic, with a huge free-form pool of salt water edged by natural rock. There are 40 rooms and suites, a small villa with two bedrooms and four more rooms at San Domenico a Mare, a kilometre away on the shore. The hotel has two beaches, one sandy and one rocky, and an 18-hole golf course by the sea. From April to November the masseria can be taken exclusively for two or three nights, on request. It suits a mid-size wedding that wants the Savelletri coast without Borgo Egnazia’s scale. Between December and March the rooms stay closed and only the halls and restaurant can be booked.

Masseria Torre Coccaro

Torre Coccaro has a chapel from 1730 where mass is still said, and its summer weddings take place in the courtyard between that chapel and the old defensive tower. Dinner is served in a gazebo in a seventeenth-century garden, and the party can move on to a white natural cave that the masseria runs as a disco. In winter the wedding goes into a heated gazebo, so the date does not have to fall in summer. Some of the olive trees are more than 800 years old, and many of the rooms and villas have a private pool. We send couples here who want the ceremony, the dinner and the dancing without ever leaving the estate. Wedding enquiries go through a separate website, Apulia Collection.

Masseria Torre Maizza

Rocco Forte runs Torre Maizza as a hotel with 21 rooms and 19 suites, and it gives its wedding numbers in full: up to 200 seated in the olive grove, where the symbolic ceremony is also held, or 250 standing, while the Carosello, in the former stables, and the pool terrace take 100 each. There are six spaces in all, and a hotel team used to running them. For 100 to 200 guests and service to hotel standards, it is the safest choice on this coast. Guests who are not dancing have a nine-hole golf course and the hotel’s private beach club, which a shuttle connects to the masseria.

Masseria Moroseta

Six double rooms, each with its own garden, five hectares of organic olive grove and a view over the sea and Ostuni: Moroseta is small on purpose. The masseria caters its own weddings with chef Giorgia Goggi, and the restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide. The building is modern and minimal, a long way from the rustic idea of a farmhouse. When the food matters more than the headcount, Moroseta is our first call. Children are accepted from the age of 14, which is worth knowing if nieces and nephews are on the list. The masseria also runs Moroseta Homes, which take small weddings and elopements on an exclusive basis.

Paragon 700

Ostuni old townNumbers on requestBrindisi airport ~30 min

Paragon 700 is inside Ostuni’s old town: a palazzo and its annex with 15 rooms and suites, a 15-metre pool and a 1,700 square metre garden with an orange grove. It can be booked in full for a wedding, which gives the couple all 15 rooms, the restaurant, the garden and the pool. The hotel says plainly that buyout dates are limited and that August goes first, and it suggests June or September instead. Its restaurant, 700, is in the Michelin Guide. Book it if you want the guests walking up through Ostuni’s lanes to the party. The rest of the guest list will need rooms in town.

Masseria Le Carrube

Le Carrube, on the SS16 between Fasano and Ostuni, has 19 suites in an olive grove with 250 fruit trees, and its restaurant is vegetarian, zero-waste and grows what it cooks. That is unusual for a Puglia wedding venue, and worth knowing before you fall for the photographs. If your families expect a classic meat and fish wedding menu, ask the masseria what it can do before anything else. For a plant-based wedding, the idea is already built into the kitchen. There is a wood-fired pizza oven in the citrus garden, and the family suite looks over the olive trees to the sea. Wedding enquiries go to the San Domenico group’s celebrations team.

Masseria Montalbano

Ostuni countrysideUp to 300 guestsBrindisi airport ~35 min

Montalbano, in the countryside of Ostuni a few kilometres from the sea, hosts one wedding a day, and it is laid out for large traditional ones: a chapel dedicated to the Madonna del Rosario in the courtyard, two gardens of ancient olive trees, a pool, and the Sala Frantoio, used for spring and autumn lunches and as the fallback if summer weather turns. The kitchen covers 500 square metres and is certified by the Italian coeliac association. Guests who cannot eat gluten are covered here: it is the only venue on our list that says its kitchen is certified. Behind the masseria is the park of the Dune Costiere, the protected coastal dunes between Ostuni and Fasano.

Grotta Palazzese

Polignano a MareReceptions at the Palazzo del Suono del MareBari airport ~45 min

The restaurant in the sea cave at Polignano is what couples picture when they ask for Grotta Palazzese. The hotel is clear, though, that its wedding receptions now take place at the Palazzo del Suono del Mare, its second building, with a restaurant, a terrace, an events room and an events terrace, and wedding settings styled by Enzo Miccio. The terrace in the cave seats up to 150, but it belongs to the restaurant, and the hotel can cancel bookings there in exceptional weather. Plan the wedding at the Palazzo, and the cave as a dinner for the couple or the closest family. The hotel itself has 18 rooms; the Suite 900, in the Palazzo, comes with a 250 square metre private terrace and a hot tub.

Il Melograno

Il Melograno, in the countryside outside Monopoli, works out of season too: buyouts and private events can be arranged while the hotel is closed, and it reopens each year in early April. The events space has fireplaces and opens onto gardens of carob and ancient olive trees, and couples who are not staying at the hotel can use it too. Autumn and winter weddings are where it stands out. In season, guests have an indoor heated pool and a shuttle to the hotel’s private beach, ten minutes away. Bari airport is a few minutes further than Brindisi.

Don Ferrante

Monopoli old townUp to 40 guestsBrindisi airport ~50 min

Don Ferrante is in Monopoli’s old town, and its terrace, with a small pool and fourteen chimney pots, looks straight out over the Adriatic. The hotel speaks of small events only, and it works as a private house for a wedding party, with suites, terraces and a bar; the rooms are spread over three buildings a couple of hundred metres apart, and there is a hot tub with a sea view on the roof. Choose it for a small wedding by the sea in a real old town, not for a big one. Two practical points: it opens from May to September, and the old town is a limited traffic zone for residents, so arrivals and luggage need planning.

Tenuta Monacelli

At Cerrate, north of Lecce, Monacelli spreads over 400 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and woodland, and it is set up for every kind of ceremony: civil and symbolic weddings and civil unions in the olive grove or the wood, a religious ceremony on request, and a chapel, the Cappella della Natività, built in 1758. For a very small ceremony there is an underground olive mill. A dedicated wedding chef cooks in an outdoor kitchen with the estate’s own oil, and the 33-metre pool looks over the olive trees. It is our pick for couples who want the Salento with room to spread out, and for same-sex couples: civil unions are part of its offer.

Masseria Montelauro

Montelauro is two kilometres outside Otranto, among olive and almond groves, with the Blue Flag beaches of the coast close by. Its 29 rooms can be reserved for the wedding guests, the civil ceremony can be held on site, and receptions use the courtyard, the pool, the olive trees and the patio. The restaurant, Fimmine, is named after the women of the Salento. It works best for a wedding that is also a week by the sea, with Otranto on the doorstep. The catch is the journey: Brindisi airport is just over an hour away, the longest drive on this list.

Tenuta Mosè

Tenuta Mosè is a few minutes from Gallipoli, on the Ionian side of the Salento, and it is small: 13 rooms and suites, several of them with a private pool. The estate has an eighteenth-century cloister planted with more than 30 species of flowers and trees, and a four-hectare vineyard ringed by old olive trees. Its events page lists weddings alongside christenings and first communions, with its own food and wine, so the team is used to family celebrations. Consider it for a wedding with Gallipoli’s beaches close at hand. With so few rooms, most guests at a large wedding will sleep in Gallipoli or along the coast.

Masseria Potenti

ManduriaUp to 250 guestsBrindisi airport ~55 min

Potenti, near Manduria in Primitivo country, can put a good part of a wedding party to bed: it sleeps up to 62 guests, and its restaurant seats up to 250. The ceremony can be held in the orangery, draped in white muslin, or under the agave portico, the aperitivo is served by the pool, and the food comes from the masseria’s own kitchen, traditional and made in house. A wedding planner can be arranged on request. A big wedding weekend where the guests stay together is what it does best. The estate covers about 130 hectares, and the Ionian sea is 15 kilometres away.

The sixteen side by side

Drive times are Google Maps times to the nearest airport, Brindisi (BDS) or Bari (BRI), without traffic, checked in September 2026: allow more in summer. Guest numbers are the venue’s own where it publishes them (Torre Maizza, San Domenico, Potenti and Martuccio); the others come from wedding directories, and “On request” means no figure is published. We confirm numbers with each venue when we build your shortlist. Montelauro, Monacelli and Martuccio say they can host the legally binding civil ceremony on site; elsewhere the legal rite is usually at the town hall, with a symbolic ceremony at the venue.
