Puglia wedding venues and locations

The masseria, the fortified Apulian farmhouse, is the heart of a Puglia wedding: white stone and thousand-year-old olive groves. But "venue" here spans five-star resorts, rustic working estates, design farmhouses, hilltop settings and even trulli villages. This is the honest map of them, by type and area and a free way to be matched with the right one.

Wedding venues by type

Four broad families of venue. The right one is mostly about scale and mood, and we’ll point you to the ones that fit.

The luxury tier on the coast near Fasano: Borgo Egnazia (an entire faux-village, famous for celebrity weddings), Masseria San Domenico, Masseria Torre Maizza (Rocco Forte) and the sought-after Masseria Calderisi. Full buy-outs, spas, beach clubs, and they book out earliest.

For a true sense of place: estates built around a trulli village (some with their own trullo chapel, up to ~100), the intimate hillside Villa Rocca 1914 near Ostuni and the odd neo-Gothic castle ringed by Primitivo vineyards. Smaller, atmospheric, unmistakably Puglia.

Wedding venues by area

Savelletri & the Fasano coast

Puglia’s luxury belt, Borgo Egnazia and its neighbours, Adriatic-side, A-list privacy. Best for ultra-luxury and beach access. Doubles as a honeymoon base.

Valle d’Itria, masseria heartland

Rolling olive country, dry-stone walls and trulli accommodation for guests. The classic rural-masseria wedding, near the white towns.

Ostuni, the white hilltop

Puglia’s most photogenic town: dramatic views, intimate scale, design venues. Best for smaller, style-led celebrations. See the Ostuni guide.

The Salento

The heel, Lecce’s baroque, Otranto and Italy’s clearest water. Best for couples who want the south’s beaches and a longer-stay feel.

Transfer times are approximate drive times to the nearest airport (Brindisi BDS or Bari BRI); allow more in peak-season traffic. Specs checked against official venue and operator sources (July 2026); "On request" means the figure is not publicly listed, and we confirm it with the venue when we build your shortlist. Masseria Torre Coccaro can hold the legally binding civil ceremony on-site; at most masserie the legal rite is at the comune, with a symbolic ceremony at the venue.

This is an honest editorial selection of real venues, not a paid listing. We match you with a vetted planner who checks live availability and handles the rest, free for couples.

Puglia’s most famous weddings

Puglia has quietly become the A-list’s favourite corner of Italy for a wedding, and almost every headline celebration has been held at one address: Borgo Egnazia in Savelletri. Justin Timberlake married Jessica Biel there in October 2012, taking over the entire resort for a reported multi-million celebration with around 100 guests. In May 2018, Property Brothers star Drew Scott married Linda Phan at the same estate, in front of more than 300 guests. What draws the A-list is exactly what draws couples of every budget: a self-contained village of a resort, complete privacy and the light and stone of the Puglian countryside.

How to choose your venue

Start with guest count

It rules everything out fast. Hilltop and design venues suit 30-100; estates like Spina (180) and Potenti (~250) take the big weddings. Confirm seated-dinner capacity, not just the grounds.

Ceremony type

Civil, symbolic, religious, or a concordat wedding (church + civil in one). It affects where and how you marry; the planning side is covered in getting married in Puglia.

Buy-out vs rooms

Some venues require a full property buy-out; others let you book rooms for the inner circle and host guests nearby (Spina sleeps ~32 on site, with Monopoli 3km away). Ask early, it shapes the budget.

Budget & season

Venue rental runs from ~€2,700-5,500 for a mid masseria to five-figure buy-outs at the belt. May-June and September-October are peak; the best venues go 18-24 months ahead.

Puglia wedding venues: FAQ

Where is the best place to get married in Puglia?

It depends on the day you want. The Valle d’Itria and the Savelletri coast near Fasano are the masseria heartland; Ostuni’s white hilltop suits intimate, design-led weddings; the Salento around Lecce and Otranto brings sea and baroque backdrops; and Polignano a Mare’s cliffs and sea caves are hard to beat for a coastal ceremony. Most international couples marry at a private masseria within about an hour of Brindisi or Bari airport.

Best wedding venues?

The five-star belt (Borgo Egnazia, San Domenico, Torre Maizza, Calderisi) for luxury; Potenti and Spina for larger rustic weddings; Ostuni and design masserie for intimate ones.

How much do they cost?

Rental from ~€2,700-5,500 for a mid masseria up to five-figure buy-outs at the belt; catering usually included or arranged.

Capacity?

Intimate 30-80 up to Spina (180) and Potenti (~250). Confirm seated-dinner numbers.

How do you book?

Tell us your date, guests, budget and style once; we match you to a vetted planner who shortlists and handles it, free for couples.

When to book?

18-24 months ahead for the May-June and September-October peak; the marquee venues go first.
